Poetry, notes, and drawings by William Michaelian
Lots of winter poems recently from all the poets I read.BrrrrrrBeautiful thoughI curious though in the last two lines - other side of what? The trees? The Snow? The passion? Hmmmmm
The other side of the postcard, in fact.It seems I’ve written more poems on winter than any other season — enough, even, to publish a book of them. I like winter. I grew up in a hot place — California’s central San Joaquin Valley, where we spent most of our time waiting for rain.Right now, we have about three inches of snow on the ground here in Salem, and the temperature is in the low twenties.
that reminds me.. I made tea yesterday that was absolutely horrific. I tried just drinking it, thinking it would get better, but nothing doing. So finally I just said "Mom, I made you some tea...?", and ceremoniously brought it too her. As I was walking away I mumbled, "Well actually I made it for me, but its disgusting..."... "What?" she said.. "Oh nothing," says I, "Glad you like it" :D And then I promptly went and found something not so horrible. Hehe, I think all these years of black coffee have deadened her taste, but she like it so all was good :D
That’s a riot. You know, it took me all day to recover from that tea. I did tell my wife about it, and she said, “Why on earth did you drink that stuff? It’s horrible.”And I said, “In that case, why is it there?”And she said, “Well, it’s almost good if you add milk and sugar.”
Dang I missed the title again - Read Scott READ!!!
*almost good* hilarious!
...in addition to "like" it, she also "liked" it... Read Cassie READ!!! :P
Yes, I think I’d better hire a special comments editor who goes through and posts corrections to these things. I do like to maintain an air of dignity and order, after all.
After all :)
I should have said “decorum.” That would be even better.
