I’ve witnessed the same thing, one’s exit delayed until after a holiday, or to coincide with a birthday or other anniversary. You give your friend’s age in tears; the T and the Y are next to each other on the keyboard; or maybe it isn’t a coincidence.

Sweet maybe, or bitter sweet, that's how I feel once Christmas has passed, relieved and sad at the same time. Another Christmas passes us by.
Last night a friend died from breast cancer. She was 60 tears old. I'm sure she waited till after Christmas to take her leave.
