Like this chocolate
slowly melting, he thought,

sweet even after
it’s gone.

Sweet maybe, or bitter sweet, that's how I feel once Christmas has passed, relieved and sad at the same time. Another Christmas passes us by.

Last night a friend died from breast cancer. She was 60 tears old. I'm sure she waited till after Christmas to take her leave.

I’ve witnessed the same thing, one’s exit delayed until after a holiday, or to coincide with a birthday or other anniversary. You give your friend’s age in tears; the T and the Y are next to each other on the keyboard; or maybe it isn’t a coincidence.

Yes you certainly may, thank you, and I feel the same way about the beauty you reveal in reaching out.
