Poetry, notes, and drawings by William Michaelian
He seems as if has closed his eyes and thru the patter of the rain gently tapping on his window he is being lulled into a trance like state of mind. A serene calm has overcome his thoughts and he has traveled back in time to the happy memories of his youth~~~Good Morning William :)
Good morning, Janice. Perhaps a sort of cleansing.... I’m hoping the rain shows when you click on the image for the larger version. It’s all around him.
Being washed away by same. Perfect.
Am I dreaming? It almost looks like you shaved!
That’s it, Gerry. Thanks.Annie, that’s not a dream, it’s a nightmare!
Is he crying? Maybe his tears could be the "rain".Well....just a thought.Love his expresion...a mellancholic dreamer.Hugs!!!!
Ah, but I did make the image larger William and I saw a faint web of dreams around him and this led me to my comment above :)
And I see,I see.....Mojave in the flight of an eagle!
Thank you, Crissant, and your thought is a good one, the rain blending with his tears...Janice, it is a web of dreams, isn’t it. I like that comparison. I just wanted to be sure it was visible.Aleksandra, I love your bird’s eye view of this drawing....
La pluie de printemps sur ce visage... effacerait-elle les traces de l'hiver... Après la pluie en cette saison il y a tellement de bonnes odeurs...
Martine, I love the scents that arrive with and after the rain — there is something primal about them, a kind of awakening. And I love the idea of a face having seasons — not only the seasons that come and go with age, but seasons in their annual cycle. I think we respond to the seasons, and that we “wear” them, in more ways than we realize. Beautiful thoughts. Thank you.
It's an awesome drawing William. And i saw the rain already in the smaller picture. The larger view is even more great. I love his lips. This image brings me the melancholic but somehow happy feeling, when it's raining and you look outside the window, the drops on the window and yes if you open the window the scent of rain. I love the scent of rain a lot! Amazing how you can express a whole world in such delicate lines.
The melancholy and happy, walking hand in hand — I know you understand that, Momo Luna, and I know that’s what gives life to your wonderful artwork. It isn’t always easy to explain how one can be sad and joyful at the same time, but sometimes, if we’re lucky, a few lines can at least suggest it. Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot.
I can see why your drawing has taken its own life, it is with both personality and will.Stories and stories in this face.xoerin
Thank you, Erin. In just a few words, you’ve given me a great deal to think about.
