William,

I am guilty of not commenting as often as I should or would like, but please know that I always see your posts when I do my early-morning scan. I appreciate everything that you do and remain one of your "silent" fans.

Have a peaceful evening,
Brian

Do you turn with the solstice, is that why you are in this state? I look forward to this night, as from here on out the days get shorter. It pleases me deeply to have darkness fall early, warm reflections on windows, and night beyond.

Thanks, Brian. I appreciate that, and I know how you feel. There just isn’t enough time in the day to comment everywhere I’d like. Like you, I do visit every blog I follow, and hope people will understand my silence.

Erin, while summer weather is late in arriving here this year, I too prefer longer hours of darkness and, generally speaking, lower light levels. It might be because I grew up in California’s San Joaquin Valley and lived there for the first thirty years of my life. So yes, this drawing is a bit about the annual shock of the summer solstice. In fact, you’ll also find a poem about it in Another Song I Know It’s called “Changes.”

I love this art work. Are you on Tumblr? If not (with such art & poetry), you should be...

Thanks. I follow a handful of Tumblr blogs, but haven't ventured into it myself, or thoroughly investigated it, for that matter.

is the incredulous expression and perplexed ... very nice and ironic, interrogative

even here the summer will not come ...

Our solstice in the southern hemisphere is so understated compared to yours, William. No wonder you look disorientated here.

Laura, that makes me wonder how the flowers are doing this year on your patio. The pictures you posted a few weeks ago were so beautiful....

Thanks, Elisabeth. I suppose that’s one of the reasons, anyway....

:-) hehehehe the flowers fots that I have postet are of last year...
this year is all not so nice, but when a little sunshine came I made new foto for this year. My mother planted flowers on my terrace 3 years ago ... is why I really want to bring forward
