William’s Law, revisited

Grief in finding it broken, joy in the beauty of each new piece.

There is, perhaps, no poem of mine that speaks
so simply to my own pressing need

to raise scripture out of verse
and in the act be freed

to live by what
I preach.

True and wise. A law I can live by. And a welcome revisit.

Thanks William.

No separating the two, is there? Grief and joy. They move together like the light and dark of the Tao. Beautiful poem!
