Silence

The wind, the roar aloft from a distant road,
a restless jay cracking nuts on the walk,
a door, a song, a gentle old mom
looking up, and long,
and in.

All day I've been longing for a little silence. And here it is...

Beautifully observed William.

And here we are, for which I’m doubly glad. Thank you, Jonathan.

Without all of the noise and distractions in our day, would we really appreciate that moment of silence that we treasure?

You have me wondering, William and I love that...thank you.

I’m wondering too, Jan. It seems silence is so profound, it contains each and every sound.

may I add my 2wo thoughts?

between
the
silences

everything
happens

everything
comes from
quietude

this (thought)
that (image)

as my friend
of long ago sd
after i returned
her long-distance
phone call 37 yrs
later:

"silence is the worst
reply"

then she at her end
slammed down the
receiver and I was
overwhelmed by the
dead Silence

Yes, you may, Ed.

And after thought,
Silence lives
again.
