In a field wide

In a field as wide as your palm,
clover, one windmill,
marriages, births,
deaths,

solitude,
tenderness,
the morning chill,
a yield so bright, then gone.

I wish I could speak with your words, William.
And not stumbling like a beggar over milestones.
