Poetry, notes, and drawings by William Michaelian
I am trying to seek counsel with your design, with you. I can't see his response because I can't decide what to do. I visited the house yesterday and I was charmed until i started noticing all fire burns on top of heating unit. The over burned to a crisp I imagine to warm themselves...It is a really danger (you'll see it on my blog) I called the man I tried to tell him that he could not rent this fire hazard, I couldn't continue because he hung up on me. Do i call in the fire dept or the police or the city or is it none of business, but the people there left so fast, and surely the next visitor can not possibly rent, but there are also 3 other apts there they could end up in a real fire, it's criminal, I'm not sure what rights I have to prevent this tragedy, because I'm not renting it...I don't know where to start, the Municipality, the Rental board, the Housing Dept...I'm not a resident of the place...but I'm not going to let this fire hazard allowed.
that's oven not over...reading your lovely poems again yesterday healed my pain but I don't know what to do
That is truly amazing. The pictures tell the whole story. Not being there, I don’t know what I would do myself. But it seems obvious that no good will come from calling the landlord. That he let you in to see a place in that condition, reveals the kind of person he is. At the same time, whatever you do, you must not do it at the expense of your own well being. If you contact any of the authorities, do so, and then let it go. If you decide not to contact anyone, let that go as well.
I might have let it go, if there hadn't been 3 other Apt. So I called the City gave them the address and the fire inspector will check it out...I had to do it, I'd rather be hurt by that man that hung up on me when I told how dangerous it was, and that it could not be rented. I imagine that the people who moved in must have moved in the summer. Now that I know no one can get hurt i can let it go...
Well and beautifully done....
Thank you William,it means a lot to me
