New old saying

sweet the truth that stings when it’s heard.

I don't know about bees in the beard but that must be as uncomfortable as some truths!

Fantastic! This feels ancient, as in ancient wisdom. Something out of the mouth of a Celtic farmer at the spring equinox....

The question I ask is, what makes a saying like this pop into someone’s head, whole, in a dark room, at this early hour of the morning?

I love your responses, both of you. Thanks, Yvonne. Thanks, Joe.

Someone who's looking for a reason to cut the beard and the Hair? 'cause I would say that THAT sort of thought came out for a reason. Sweet and Sour, you do it oh so well William

No need for reason, when nature, over time, is taking her course. Thank you, Lorraine....
