Old acquaintance

I’ll wake with a gape, or a grapple;
you’ll take the cake; we’ll wind the watch;
and for the sake of auld lang syne, make love
of what’s left of what’s lost of our sweet
precious time.

So beautiful, love is always beautiful when it is love, even past ones (the two last lines reminds me of Rod McKuen's Alone, which i loved purchased at 17 years old ah the judgement of a young one re-read in my thirties,no judgement anymore, re-read again now. I totally understand. Have you ever read Rod McKuen's 'Alone', I think you might like it :)

I think I must have, but now I’m not so sure. It has been ages and ages since I’ve read his poems.... Thank you again, and always, Lorraine.
