’tis gettin’ to be

Well, now, ’tis gettin’ to be,
your love, and my love, make three;
and how pretty we’ll be, when spring comes,
fancy and free, as that deep, dark, dear,
wide, gray tide of a lonesome bell
rings in the valley.

sad, somewhat softened memories but I adore '..gray tide of a lonesome bell rings in the valley.'speaks to me, i love the ringing of bells, I always have,there are no bells, where I am now, unless you think of the sound of a car when it hits ice
