What will I unlearn today?

What will I unlearn today? what treasured grief will cast away,
what stubborn pride yet holding sway, what tenant haughty view?

What treble rhyme, what bass profound, as darkened thought,
and brooding brow? in deed, what now, my love?

(’tis soft and gray today; with joy, from me, to you)

Wonderfully expressed, my dear William.
To me, these words were a gentle reminder that as I age I forget some of what I have learned through my life. But...joy! Because I have made room in my memory bank...I can learn new things...or old things that become new things :))

I love your writings, William~
