I like this one, William - it has that undeniable charm of things in the process of vanishing. We all say we like things direct and clear and reliable, but the elusive and mysterious and evanescent are so very compelling! Why?

Hmm... interesting, the idea that the subject is vanishing rather than arriving.... not that the two states or processes are mutually exclusive.

I love your observation and question. I think the answer, at least in part, is that we are at our best when we are most attentive.
