Canvases 187-194. The first was done February 4. The rest were done early yesterday morning in a single session. During “Canvas 193,” I heard myself moan. At least I think it was me.

Note: Thank you, Ella.

I had that sensation once, William, but in reverse. I looked around to see who it was and then came into my body to find my mouth open. At that point, I should have woken up, but it seems I have kept on dreaming.

Ella is a beautiful artist. Thank you.

Ha! What are we all doing up so early? Is it the dreams? I woke with undesired thoughts landing on my timid scarecrow arms...and needed to write them gone. And here there are unmanned screams and uncertain moans, yet me certain this was the place to be at o'dark thirty on a Sunday morning.

Thanks, Erin. A beautiful description of being born if there ever was one.

Moans of a feather, Annie.

As the dream changes so does his expression. If I watched him dream would I be able to tell what was happening...I think not.

Wonderful drawings always. Ella's art is remarkable! So beautiful in it's simplicity.

It is, isn’t it?

And thank you, Jan. More and more, when I close my eyes or am drifting off to sleep, these faces appear, as if they’re asking to be drawn....
